At Ungwan Matari in Kaduna State’s Sabon Tasha, Chikun Local Government Area, 14 persons were abducted by bandits.
The bandits, who reportedly shot sporadically and broke down fences and windows in an attempt to gain access into the homes of the residents they kidnapped, invaded the community adjacent to Gbagyi villa towards Romi River at around 11 p.m. on Wednesday night, reportedly shot sporadically and broke down fences and windows in an attempt to gain access into the houses of the residents they kidnapped.
A landowner and several of his tenants were among the fatalities. Samaila Leeman, the immediate past Chairman of the Chikun local government area, verified the number of persons kidnapped from the Kaduna village.
Leeman told Channels Television that the kidnappers kidnapped 14 members of the village and took them to an unknown location.
