The Magistrates’ Association of Nigeria has called on members of the association to ensure quick dispensation of Justice in Nigeria.
The newly-elected chairman of the association in Jigawa State, Mannir Sarki Abdullahi, stated this in his acceptance speech at the High Court Complex in Dutse.
He said magistrates play a very crucial role in the administration of justice in the country, therefore there is need for quick dispensation of Justice in Jigawa state and the country in general.
According to him, “We will ensure transparency and do all our best to protect the interest of our members.
“We will, therefore, carry all our members along and do our best to the Association and move the Jigawa State Judiciary to a greater height.
“We will, however, work toward improving the welfare of all magistrates for effective service delivery,” the chairman said.
Other elected executives are Aliyu Ahmed Zakar as Vice Chairman, Mustapha Ahmad Adam as Secretary General and Amina Saleh-Financial Secretary.
While Yakubu Ibrahim as Director Protocol, Umar Murtala Adamu-Assistant Secretary and Fatima Muhd Tahir as Treasurer of the association.
