NSCDC commences forensic test on arms bearing personnel in Kogi

Kogi State Commandant of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps, Oyinloye Kayode John has charged arms-bearing personnel of the Corps to be abreast of development in the usage of firearms.

Commandant Oyinloye said this at the commencement of a forensic test for intending arms bearer of the Corps in Lokoja on Tuesday.

He said the forensic test is in compliance with the new rules laid down by the Commandant General, Doctor Ahmed Abubakar Audi, that all Arms Bearing Personnel must embark on psychological assessment and evaluation to fit into the Arms Squad of the Corps.

According to him, the exercise would also assess the physical and mental fitness of the personnel involved to avoid the unprofessional use of firearms.

In a remark, the Head of Department Training, Assistant Commandant of Corps, ACC, Fashakin Adebayo warned the participants to eschew discipline during and after the exercise as that would determine their success at the end of the training.
